Udzungwa Mountains National Park
Is well known as ‘World Bio-diversity Hotspot’, it is a part of the Eastern Arc mountain range and made up of dense high-altitude forest. The Sanje waterfalls, Mwanihana Peak and Luhombero Peak, to name just a few highlights, offer the perfect environment for extended walking safaris and forest walks.
Accommodation is in guest houses, mid – low end lodges outside the park and public camping in the park.
Udzungwa Mountains, waterfalls, heavy forested areas, endemic plant and wildlife, African violets, baobab valleys. 10 species of primates, including the rare Iringa red colobus monkey along with the Sanje crested mangabey, excellent birding and chances of seeing the Udzungwa forest partridge..
